Robert C. Pierce
Financial adviser; Army veteran
Robert Charles Pierce, 53, of Gerard Drive, Merrimack, died Aug. 13, 2002, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.
Mr. Peirce was born April 3, 1949, in Pittsburgh, son of Robert P. and Ellen A. (Pries) (sic) Pierce of Vermilion, Ohio. A resident of Merrimack for the last 14 years, he had previously lived in Library, Pa.
He was the husband of Linda L. (Carico) Pierce, whom he married Dec. 1, 1973.
For 19 years, Mr. Pierce had been a sales manager for Digital Equipment Corp. For teh past four years he had been a financial adviser for Morgan Stanley Co.
He enjoyed fishing and boating.
Mr. Pierce was an Army veteran.
He was a communicant of St. John Neumann Parish in Merrimack. He was also a member of teh Knights of Columbus and a hospitality minister at the church.
Mr. Pierce was educated at St. Elizabeth School in Pleasant Hills, Pa., and then furthered his education at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, where he received a bachelor's degree in political science.
Besides his parents and wife, survivors include a son, Eric Pierce of Merrimack; a daughter, Lisa Pierce and her best friend, Brett Meyers; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancey and Timothy O'Leary, Pat and Harvey Skaugen, Carol and Brian Mathers, and Mary Beth and Rick Koenig, all of Pittsburgh, and Margie and Tom Snider of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Sandra Boten of Oxford, N.C.; and numeous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial and will be celebrated at St. John Neumann Parish, 1 Milford Road, Merrimack today (Friday, Aug. 16), at 10 a.m. Friends are invited to attend and should meet at the church. Interment prayers and burial will follow at Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack.

The Davis Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
