      Anna Squires

      LAKELAND -- Mrs. Anna Marie Squires of Lakeland died of complications following a stroke Saturday (Feb. 19, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 86. Born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 22, 1918, she came to Lakeland from Pompton Lakes, N.J., in 1984. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John Neuman Catholic Church in Lakeland. Mrs. Squires is survived by her husband, John P. Squires; son, John R. Squires, Wayne, N.J.; daughter, Barbara Grasso, Hollywood, Fla.; sister, Rosemary Wertz, Ambridge, Pa.; brother, Robert Schugg, Auburndale; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Lakeland Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
