    • The following obituary was published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on January 18, 1932:

      Rose Curry Daschbach, 82, widow of Joseph Daschbach, died Saturday night in the home of her son, Harry J. Daschbach, 1740 Wightman Street, following a long illness. Her husband, who passed away about nine years ago had been for more than 50 years in the employment of Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation and had enjoyed a wide aquaintance among those connected with the development of the steel industry in the Pittsburgh district. Mrs Daschbach leaves two daughters and five sons. The daughter's are Mary Daschbach of Pittsburgh and M. Grace Daschbach of New York. The sons are Albert C., Harry J, and Herbert L. Daschbach of Pittsburgh;Ray J. of Los Angeles, Cal and J. Curry Daschbach of Cleveland. She also leaves 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild. There will be solemn requiem high mass at St. Paul's Cathedral at 10 O'clock Wednesday morning with burial later in the Calvary cemetery.
