      Richard M. Rhodes, 71, of Andover, Ohio, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at his home. Born March 10, 1929, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Mark H. Rhodes and the late Helen C. Ganster Rhodes. He had lived in the Butler area for years and retired in 1988 as a fabricating engineer at Woodward Inc. of Mars after 20 years. Mr. Rhodes moved to the Andover area in 1973 and owned and operated Wildwood Acres Campground from 1973 to 1981. He served aboard the USS Saipan during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Ada M. Davis Rhodes, whom he married May 15, 1954; three sons, Richard M. Rhodes Jr. of Saxonburg and Dane M. and Dale M. Rhodes, both of Andover; and three daughters, Deborah L. Pavlek of Meadville, Barbara A. Thomas of Utica, N.Y., and Kathleen M. Corson of Andover. Also surviving are his father, of Mars; three brothers, Paul G. Rhodes of Largo, Fla., and Noel and Alan Rhodes, both of Butler; two sisters, Helene MacDonald of Columbus, Ohio, and Maryann Vitali of Butler; and 14 grandchildren. There will be no visitation, and private services will be held later. Arrangements are being handled by BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL HOME, Andover.
