- The following obituary appeared in the Cumberland Evening Times (Cumberland, Maryland) on February 15, 1909:
Death of Mrs. Ashcom
Mrs. Mary G. Ashcom, wife of the late Wesley Ashcom, and mother of of Mrs. Wm. A. Lauder, general manager of Riddlesburg furnance, on the Huntingdon and Broad Top railroad, died at Riddlesburg Saturday morning, aged 87 years. Deceased leaves one son and four daughters. The funeral will take place at Everett tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
